Finding Your Default IP

Sometimes, the web address won't allow you to access your login page. There can be several reasons why this might be the case. However, there's a simple way through which you can still gain access to the login page.

All you need to do is use your default internet protocol. The Default IP is usually mentioned on the router itself or in the manual within its box. In case you have lost  the manual and don't know how to find your IP, here are a few quick steps on how to find your default IP:

    1. Ensure that you are connected to your network.
    2. Open the run command. This can be done by searching "run" in the start menu or by simply pressing the windows key and "R"
    3. Once done, you will either see a small dialogue box with a blank text box
    4. Input the command "ipconfig"
    5. This will take you to a black screen with white text
    6. Look for Default Gateway on the screen, which is usually near the bottom
    7. It will look something like 192.68.1.1
    8. This IP can then be input into the web browser to help you log in to access the admin panel

While this is usually a quick way to work around the web page error, there are certain issues that might persist. These issues can range from quick fixes to highly technical ones requiring an expert's help.

Some of the common issues can include poor connection, caches, cookies, and more. Following are the ways to sort these problems on your own.

In the case of cookies:

  • Go to the browser toolbar, click on more tools and click on clear browsing data
  • Click on the "beginning of time" option, then select clear browsing data
  • Ensure that you have chosen the option of clearing cookies as well

Poor connection

  • Disconnect your device and connect it again
  • You can also try disconnecting your router from the power source, waiting for a minute, and reconnecting it again. This method will disconnect all your devices from the network, but it can fix the problem once it is back online
  • If the problem persists, there might be a problem from the backend, in which case, it is best to call a technician and seek assistance
